Late?Shri G.D.Naidu,?a successful industrialist and a keen educationalist of South India, started two premier institutions in the year 1945, “Sir Arthur Hope College of Technology” and “Sir Arthur Hope Polytechnic”. He then donated both the institutions to Government. They are now known as “The Government College of Technology” and “The Government Polytechnic of Coimbatore” respectively.
Later in 1946, he started another institution in the name of Industrial Labour Welfare Association (ILWA), now known as G.D.Naidu Charities. His aim was to impart higher education to students with more emphasis on practical training so that they can get employment immediately.
G.D. Naidu Charities’ initiative in these areas met with great response from industries and resulted in starting Gedee Technical Training Institute (GTTI), Coimbatore, in the year 2002 .This set up at Coimbatore, South India was to train Precision Machining Technicians and Tool & Die Engineers. Currently Tool Designers, Mechatronics Technicians and Welding Technicians are also trained.
This institute is assisted by Gedee Weiler (P) Ltd., G.D.W.Werkzeugmaschinen, Germany, UMS Technologies Ltd and G-Plast (P) Ltd., India. Festo, Fanuc, Siemens, Keller, BFW and WIM have aided in procurement of modern equipment and software.
Sri G.D. Gopal is the present Managing Trustee of GDNC. He is second to none in encouraging young minds to mould themselves into good engineers and industrialists.
To give an opportunity to the competent engineers of tomorrow to discover the hidden treasures in Tool and Die Engineering and its wider applications ,GDNC started Gedee Technical Training Institute (GTTI) in July 2002.Now GTTI offers various job oriented NCVT courses such as Tool & Die Maker(Dies & Moulds), Technician Mechatronics, Machinist,?and German certified AHK courses such as Tool & Die Mechanic, Mechatronics Technician and other courses such as Post Diploma in Tool Design (PDTD), Diploma in Precision Machining Technology (PMT), Post Diploma in Mechatronics & Automation Technology and Certificate Courses in Welding, based on German and Swiss educational pattern.
Technical Education in a Global Perspective.
To motivate more and more students to take up TDE, PDTD, PMT, MCT, PDMAT and Welding courses
To develop young and competent engineers for the growing industries in India and abroad
To present a state-of-the-art training institute to the world, where all around development of students is taken care of
For anything mechanical & automation we expect our trainees to say…..
“If something cannot be done anywhere else, TRY US”.
Our Quality Objectives
- Prepare the trainees for industrial adaptability in both technical aspects and soft skills.
- Train to design, manufacture and undertake projects by which the trainee learns all aspects of Tool Making / Tool Designing / Precision Machining / Mechatronics and Automation
- Create the culture “Learning by doing”
- Update the training syllabus with the state of the art technologies,
- Prepare to meet the requirements of Industries by periodic updates and introduction of new technologies.
